For years Grand View Lodge has been hosting the wine industry leaders for a weekend of tastings and fun. de’Vine Wine and Culinary Weekend brings together a vast array of wines from around the world for your pleasure.

Friday evening there are two exceptional wine dinners for you to choose to be a part of. A different winemaker will host each dinner accompanied by a Grand View Lodge Chef and celebrity guest. With this six-course experience you will explore how our chef’s culinary creations will fuse your taste buds with the ideal ‘vino’ to complement each note. Pick the dinner with a menu that fits your flavor and for an extra cost enjoy an event made for royalty. Reservations required.

Saturday’s events will keep you intrigued. Learn from the winemakers themselves as they reveal the secrets behind good pairings and good vines. The people who study the history and trends of wine around the world will be present to answer your questions. From wine dinners, classes, culinary celebrities, and the Grand Tasting—you will have no problem having a great time. History of Israel Wines Birch Room - Norway Center
Presented by Matt Purinton. WSET II has spent 29 years in the wine & spirits business working at the Retail, Distributor and Supplier level. Currently, Matt is the Midwest Region Manager for Royal Wine Corp., which is the leading importer and supplier of 37 wineries from Israel. Matt has traveled to numerous wine growing regions and gained an appreciation for the history and differences that make each region unique. Matt’s passion is sharing the history and emergence of Israel’s wine growing regions.

Bring in Spring with a Rosè Wine Experience where we’ll learn about the different styles of Rosè from several premium wine producing areas & countries and from a variety of different grapes! This will be a perfect primer ahead of a Great 2024 Spring/Summer period! We will also be raffling off special 1.5L bottle of Whispering Angel Rosè from Provence, France to one lucky participant!

California’s Best Kept Secret… Santa Barbara Oak Room - Norway Center
Presented by Conner MacDonald, Regional Manager for Jackson Family Wines. The session will include background information on the Santa Barbara region/each Jackson winery. He will be presenting and pouring the following wines: Diatom Chardonnay, Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay, Brewer-Clifton Pinot Noir, Cambria Chardonnay, and Nielson Pinot Noir. Conner MacDonald, Regional Manager for Jackson Family Wines. Conner has been with Jackson Family Wines for a decade, learning and sharing some of the world’s best wines. Conner now focuses on the Maritime Division of Jackson Family which emphasizes wineries in Oregon and Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is one of the most beautiful and unique wine regions in the world, earning it Wine Region of the Year in 2020. Santa Barbara has produced multiple top 40 wines in the last year, including Brewer Clifton Pinot Noir, ranking as the No.4 wine in the world, according to Wine Enthusiast. Today, Conner will be providing an in depth look at Santa Barbara and what makes the region, as well as the wine, one of a kind.

Wines of the Mediterranean Birch Room - Norway Center CLASS IS FULL
Presented by Mike and Vanessa DeCourcy, WSET Level 3 certified and Minnesota licensed wine educators, for a sensory tour of the Mediterranean. In this session, you’ll taste and explore four different wines—one from Spain, France, Italy, and Greece—coming from regions situated on the Mediterranean. We’ll discuss how the unique growing conditions and winemaking practices affect the final style and structure of the wine.
